the end of lacrosse

so last night, the brentwood girls lacrosse team lost their quarter final playoff game against harpeth hall. the hardest part to stomach? the fact that the score was 19 to 6. yeahhhh....not so close.
as this season comes to an end, i reflect on my final season of lacrosse EVER. some of the best moments of this season include:
1. our HUGE win against ravenwood- a team that we have never beaten..until this year! we didn't even need to go into overtime :-)
2. enjoying all the privilages of being a senior. senior night was awesome and i never had to pick up balls or get the goals (that's what freshmen are for!)
3. i scored against harpeth hall TWICE! and although we lost both of those games against harpeth hall (see above stats) i'm not exactly the scoring type- so the chances of this happening was pretty damn rare
4. our win against franklin in our first play-in game. we lost to them in overtime in the regular season, so it felt good to kick their asses the second time around. (so 7-6 isn't exactly kicking their asses, but we still won!)
5. my secret sister gifts! hallie was the BEST secret sister, and she gave me tons of candy, spiderman socks, paddle ball, a dart gun, and sunglasses, among other things.
6. just being around all the girls on the team. shoutouts go to hope (the coolest and only freshman on varsity), hallie (basically the person i wanna spend the rest of my lfie with), cicily (remember the time you scored probably 80 percent of our goals?? yeah me too. thanks!!), kellie (for catching draws one handed! and helping me make fun of hal), and of course the rest of the seniors. magz, keegan, kendall, and lauren- i love you all. these past four seasons have been beyond incredible.
7. did i mention WE HAD A WINNING SEASON?! thats right. the brentwood girls lacrosse club went 12-5 this year. 12 and 5!!!!!!!!!! we have NEVER HAD A WINNING SEASON IN BGLC HISTORY UNTIL THIS YEAR. must have been that great senior leadership.

soooooooooooooo
the fact that i will never set foot on a lacrosse field again as a brentwood high school bruin is admittedly upsetting, but more exciting than anything. for example, now i have all of my afternoons free. what am i gonna do with my time!? here are a few options:
-hit the study room at the library to prepare for my AP exams (not alone of course, although i am 18 and if there was ever a situation in which i had to spend the night there, i would be classified as alone. and then locked in a study room.)
-read a book. actually finish the 5 books i've already started and never gotten around to reading...
-get ready for college, save my money. (haha get real)
-this is the most likely option- hit sonic happy hour with my bro every afternoon, chill, and then sit on my lazy ass watching tv shows i've recorded from the night before. sounds like the best plan to me.

until next time bloggers,
peace out.
